The following email was sent to WIN volunteers the week of June 8.
Dear WIN Volunteers,
Our tireless, passionate, and dedicated volunteers are truly the lifeblood of this organization. I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you — I am continually amazed and inspired by your commitment. If you have not yet volunteered, I encourage you to explore the opportunities available. It is the very best way to make the most of your membership and deepen your impact on the industry.
As WIN continues to grow globally, the Board of Directors has worked to thoughtfully reorganize our committee structure and finalize a new framework designed to better serve all members worldwide — with the goal of creating a more unified global organization and ensuring a consistent, high-quality member experience, intended to strengthen collaboration across regions while remaining responsive to regional needs and improve alignment (visual attached).
This new structure was developed to balance global priorities with regional engagement, knowledge, relationships, and execution. Further details regarding leadership roles, applications, and the implementation process/transition time will be shared in the coming weeks. WIN leaders will join the various virtual networking sessions next week to answer any questions and provide more information. Check the weekly newsletter for details about those sessions.
As outlined in the visual attached, the committee structure is evolving in several key ways:
Each functional committee will now be led by three co-chairs representing APAC, EUR, and AMR.
Two Regional Officers from each region will be appointed and will meet regularly with the Executive Director and Board members.
Committees will be further organized based on their specific needs. In larger committees, this may include regional subgroups led by the appropriate co-chair — an evolution that will unfold once new co-chairs are in place.
We will be transitioning away from our past region-based volunteer framework and committee structures, giving members opportunities to contribute through a variety of leadership and volunteer roles within the new global structure. Those currently serving in a regional capacity are encouraged to apply for roles as Regional Officers, functional committee co-chairs, or committee members aligned with their interests. For example, someone who has been growing WIN membership in France may wish to contribute to the Membership Committee.
Regional Officers and committee co-chairs will focus on global strategy and overall coordination, while committee members will be empowered to execute initiatives within their regions and globally.
We encourage you to continue connecting — whether by country, region, or shared interests. We are also close to implementing new community management software that will make these connections even easier and more integrated. More details on that are coming soon.
Over the next several weeks, we will begin opening applications for all positions. In the meantime, we encourage you to review the job descriptions available HERE.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to Rebecca (executivedirector@womeninnutraceuticals.org) or me (chair@womeninnutraceuticals.org) directly with any questions. This is an exciting moment for Women In Nutraceuticals, and we are confident this new structure will help carry us into our next chapter — together.
Kind Regards,
Michelle Martin
